Beloved for both its easy accessibility and fantastic ski conditions, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe has 1,200 skiable acres of terrain, offering a vertical fall of 1,800 feet. Ski runs are predominantly suited for intermediate and advanced-level skiers, although there are ample runs suitable for even the greenest of skiers and snowboarders. The closest ski area to Reno, the resort is about 25 miles by car from downtown, and just a short drive north from Lake Tahoe.
